Flowering Tree envisions every project as the creation of a new story and is named after a local flower. All projects build a pathway to a life of dignity for communities by bringing about sustainable change through education and women empowerment.

Anant
An exciting and innovative program, Anant touches the lives of more than 1000 rural children living outside Mumbai. Anant uses arts and arts education to invite children into the participatory world of storytelling, music, and dance. A unique initiative that brings music and dance to children in remote communities, this program focuses on children's identity formation as individuals and in the community.
Manav Gulzar
Manav Gulzar is a community center that serves the people who live in Ram Rahim Tekro, a slum in Ahmedabad. The community center has been instituted and constructed in partnership with Manav Sadhna, an NGO based in the Gandhi Ashram. Called Manav Gulzar (Garden of Human Beings), the community center provides a space to conduct women’s development and children’s education programs for the 60,000 residents it serves.
Shwetaark
An education project in collaboration with I-India, Shwetaark, reaches the migrant and most vulnerable populations of Jaipur city. Shwetaark sparks a light of learning, empowerment, and personal growth and development for over 1,100 children. Children come and receive classroom instruction from dedicated teachers within beautifully fashioned tents that stand in their communities. They learn to read, write, do math, practice hygiene, and receive nutritious and delicious food. Shwetaark takes a total view of education, incorporating family and community life into the project. Shwetaark offers a better quality of life and a brighter future for many who otherwise would have had little opportunity.
Harshingar
Harshingar is a governance project that empowers women with legal literacy. Initiated as a pilot in two villages in Haryana, India, it has grown to cover whole districts and urban slums in Delhi. Women are encouraged to form groups and learn about local self-governance through Panchayats or other governing units. Through Harshingar, they grow acquainted with the law, legal processes, and their rights. This helps them to become more and more active citizens. They are also encouraged to support each other and build partnerships with the government and other institutions to facilitate the implementation of the constitutional provisions available to them.

Coral Jasmine
A women’s oral history project which documents, processes, and archives interviews, both past and present, of women involved in NGOs, Panchayats (village self-governments), and traditional healing and health issues.

Flame of Love
Flame of Love is a new multipurpose auditorium constructed to provide the students of three schools, St. Joseph’s Convent, St Anthony’s and St Mary’s a space to hold performances, exhibitions and other educational events.
